Responsible Gambling and Support
Updated
Gambling can cause financial loss and other harm. It is not a dependable way to earn income. You can choose not to gamble, and you do not need to wait for a crisis to seek support.
Need support now? In Ontario, contact ConnexOntario on 1-866-531-2600 or text connex to 247247. In British Columbia, call Gambling Support BC on 1-888-795-6111. Both publish free, 24-hour support; text or data charges may apply to messaging.
Set Limits Before Playing
Decide how much time and money you are prepared to spend before starting. Keep money for essential expenses separate, avoid borrowing to gamble and do not increase your spending to try to win back losses. Use the operator's limit or break tools where available.

Recognise When to Pause
If gambling is affecting your finances, relationships or everyday life, consider stopping and speaking with a support service. You can also seek advice about someone else's gambling. A support service can help you find options; a casino information website cannot diagnose a gambling-related condition or provide treatment.
Self-Exclusion and Blocking Tools
Self-exclusion allows you to request restrictions on your own access through a participating programme. Check what services, locations and duration it covers rather than assuming one exclusion applies everywhere.
For Ontario, use iGaming Ontario's Find Help page for the current province-wide online exclusion option and other tools. In other provinces, consult the official provincial gambling authority or support service. An exclusion at one provider should not be assumed to cover unrelated websites.
Support in Ontario and British Columbia
Ontario: ConnexOntario provides confidential information and connections to treatment services, including gambling support. Its telephone service is available around the clock at 1-866-531-2600.
British Columbia: Gambling Support BC offers a 24-hour helpline and support for residents affected by their own or someone else's gambling. Call 1-888-795-6111.
Elsewhere in Canada: Contact your province's official health, gambling-support or lottery authority for local services and self-exclusion arrangements. These two provincial contacts are not presented as a complete national directory.
Immediate Safety Concerns
For a suicide-related crisis in Canada, call or text 9-8-8. If someone is in immediate danger, call 9-1-1. See the official 9-8-8 Suicide Crisis Helpline for information about these services. This website is not a crisis service.
Age and Location
Only use gambling services when you meet the age, location and account requirements that apply to you. Check the operator's exact domain with the relevant authority. A referral link, CAD account or mention of a licence does not establish eligibility in every province.
